HA
KUNA
We are groups of Christians who, together, follow Christ,
sharing a lifestyle that we learn kneeling before Christ Eucharist.
Pope Francis defined us as a Eucharistic family.
Hakuna was born on the occasion of the preparation for WYD in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012.
Our charisma is live in the transfiguring power of the Eucharist, allowing ourselves to be transformed by Him to bring His love to the world and embracing all reality and directing our gaze towards the needy. We shout with our lives that the Kingdom has arrived.
*Legally, Hakuna is a private Association of faithful approved in 2017 by the
Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, D. Carlos Osoro.

OUR STRATEGY
LIVE.
SEEK LIFE ONLY IN HIM ALIVE.
The experience of a transfigured person contagious to others, who see the cheerful resurrected face of one who already participates in Life News of Christ.
Fire can’t not burn!
TRAINING
AND GROUPS
Hakuna’s life is organized into groups.
Each group meets in a church in the city and is in a diocese.

These groups meet weekly in the Holy Hour, from which we receive his life and mission.
of that worship shared, multiple activities emerge, according to the needs of each place: wallowing, plans, shared activities, music group…

Holy Hours and talks
It begins with a weekly talk given by a priest or guest, where the ascetic and liturgical themes linked to the life of prayer and adoration, followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Finally, we live a third time: We meet to have a drink, share and get to know each other

SHARED
The force of the Love received moves us to those who experience another circumstance or suffer explicit need: material poverty, illness, addiction, deprivation of freedom… We go with open hands: we are convinced that those who live on the “peripheries” of the world are the flesh of Christ: accompanying them we learn to live. Hence the word sharing: it is not altruism, but revelation.
In the poor we we find Christ. Being with them is an act of faith, not philanthropy, in which both We rediscover our identity.

Thanks to the donations from individuals, Hakuna sustains itself financially. In addition, some of its activities generate income that also helps to maintain it and undertake new projects and to improve the quality of everything that is offered.

We live what we sing
and we sing what we live
From the beginning, in the worships we sing.
We immediately took on the challenge of making new songs. The objective was to help us pray.
The letters were collecting the life we lived: that is why it can be said that Hakuna’s charisma is the nerve of this music.

GETAWAYS
The space where you are pillars They are lived in an integral way are the getaways: a few days to meet intensely with Christ and with each other.
They can be pilgrimages or shared trips, and in them combine prayer, formation, coexistence and service, creating a climate that helps us let God act deeply.

ASSOCIATION
The Hakuna Association responds to the spiritual dimension of the faithful. From the spiritual life of the Association, initiatives and new projects emerged that needed their own structure to be able to develop.
Thus was born the Hakuna Foundation.
While the Association attends the care for the spiritual and ascetic life of the faithful, the Foundation takes care of give support and make evangelization initiatives possible.
Hakuna’s initiatives are primarily aimed at people far from God, and the poorest of God’s poor. The feeling of God pushes us: don’t miss any.

HOLY HOURS
An hour of more than 60 minutes
One hour a week to stop, listen and meet with God.
And with a very special “afterhour”: having something with the family.

Armchair enemies
There is so much to discover, so much to learn, that it doesn’t matter where or when. Spoiler: it’s going to be a craziness.
