Hakuna is already in Venezuela to offer a concert where they hope the Lord will touch the hearts of young people
Hakuna Group Music arrives in Venezuela to offer a concert in Valencia, aiming to be a response of faith and hope for young people in difficult times.
Hakuna Group Music is in Venezuela to offer a major concert that will bring together nearly ten thousand souls in Valencia. “To go where there is a call and give an answer” is the feeling that motivated them to come to the South American country, which in recent months has been at the center of international debate after going through complex and historic events.
In a press conference held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference on Tuesday, April 28, the group presented the event “Born from Above” as an opportunity to give “a cry of freedom, a celebration of the spirit, and a space to meet through art.”
“That’s precisely why people told us: ‘But why are you going now, are you crazy?’ Well, because it’s needed right now, and in fact, the concert was conceived for that very reason. Not so much to go where we want, but to go where there is a call and give an answer,” explained Carlos ‘Bobi’ Bobillo, a member of Hakuna, in an interview with ACI Prensa.
“Feeling that this is a moment where there is uncertainty and also hope, we can contribute a grain of sand and a bit of light in all this darkness. Not us, but God through us for everything the country is going through. If we can help, that would be great,” he added.
For the group, being in Venezuela is simply their response to a concrete invitation from the Lord, regardless of the difficulties of the context or the limitations that may arise on a human level.
Mariona Torné, another member of Hakuna, said that the main driving force behind their trips and events outside Spain “is always the Lord’s initiative.” In addition, their presence in Venezuela is also “a response to the thirst” in the country to serve God through music, which also becomes a form of prayer.
