<<< 11/17/2023 Good evening, Today marks four days since I returned from my first God Stop. I admit that the decision to go was a bit unplanned. I arrived on Friday afternoon after a pretty tough week at work and very tired, so I thought, "Well, at least I’ll rest and the training will do me good." I put my phone on airplane mode and left it in my suitcase until Sunday. Upon arrival, we introduced ourselves and those who had already done a God Stop told us how happy they were and how much they had enjoyed it. Honestly, at that moment I thought I was far from a weekend that would fill me so much and in that way, I didn’t understand it. I liked a recommendation from one of the newbies: “even if you don’t think so, let yourself get a tan.” Later, we went to the chapel where Don Josepe recommended that we write down our worries, give them to God, and forget about them for the weekend. As I wrote them down, I thought I wouldn’t be able to forget about them all weekend since I tend to overthink and had been quite agitated that week. Saturday was a gift every minute, although what intensity! I didn’t know Don Josepe, and honestly, the first talk was a bit hard for me to understand. However, I took notes, prayed everything I learned, and by the second talk, I began to see his greatness, his words, his power of transmission, his kindness, his wisdom... How lucky I was to have been able to enjoy him and learn so much from him. At first, I felt a bit overwhelmed; there was a lot of information, many wise ideas I wanted to retain, and I didn’t have time to pray it all. But soon I relaxed, took notes in my notebook, and thought, “little by little I’ll pray it calmly.” Now, I am praying and consciously enjoying every minute lived that weekend. One phrase from the talk, “we are the creation of our creator and we can only kneel before Him in the position of a created creature,” the adorations, and a conversation with Don Josepe illuminated my weekend. Sunday was a day of light, as if all the intensity experienced on Saturday had suddenly borne fruit, like a Resurrection. I am still processing that weekend and I think it will take me days. I can only give thanks, thanks to Don Josepe, to each of the newbies who allowed us to live the weekend with such intensity, and to every person I shared that weekend with. Thank you >>>
