Every day can be a party

<<< 12/31/2018 A glass of wine, please! - I heard someone ask as “Revolution” closed the concert in grand style. No, no! The best parties are not always with your select group of friends and to the rhythm of reggaeton. This is a party without capacity limits and it promises! This party doesn’t need grand halls or exquisite delicacies, only you are needed. There is no closing time, no dress code, no differences of any kind among the guests, all are equal in the eyes of the Host, who attentively watches as his guests enjoy themselves. It’s 5 in the morning and the party continues, still without music; the dance floor transforms into a stage of hugs and smiles, goodnight kisses, and many “see you soon”s. There I stop and think, the music started around 10, but that party had started days ago, specifically on Thursday. It began with the warmth of hugs we gave to those we hadn’t seen in a long time, with greetings and welcoming gestures to all those we saw for the first time, with the willingness to help in whatever was needed, with the desire to gather once again with Him. Lord, this party has been an absolute blast, a weekend non-stop! We have rested very little, and although You know me and know that when I don’t sleep I tend to be in a bad mood, something happened this weekend, and that is that I haven’t stopped smiling. Neither I nor anyone else. I have seen people get up early with a smile, endure cold or heat with a smile, sing even without a voice and with a smile, cry with a smile, hug with a smile, help with a smile, and go to bed late and exhausted, but with a smile. And I have seen You in every single one of them. You have become Father of an unparalleled family. You have become flesh and bone in all the people who have not stopped serving so that everything would go perfectly, in all the looks of joy, emotion, and gratitude that we have exchanged over these days. I don’t know the exact moment in this great party when You changed my life, I only know that I never want it to stop. I want to be an inexhaustible source of service to others, I want to be a smile that lights up, I want to be the ear always ready to listen to the concerns of my friends and companions, I want to be the steps that start the great dance that is part of Your party. I want to share with everyone what You have given me! I want everyone to understand that only through You can one love unconditionally, that only when You are behind it do enthusiasm and desire overcome laziness and turn what might seem like a heavy effort into an exciting challenge to overcome. I want people to understand that this party is not an hour of worship on Mondays, nor 45 minutes of Mass on Sundays, that this party is a nonstop way of living as You have taught us, of serving You and serving others, and doing it all out of love and with a smile. I want everyone to know that with You every day is a party! >>>
