Yesterday I returned home after the God Stop, and without a doubt I want to share that that weekend I had the joy, opportunity, and blessing to experience my first retreat in life.
I have always considered myself Catholic and a believer but perhaps I did not practice my faith fully…
Last year a friend invited me and told me about HAKUNA…
A new Catholic group that had arrived in MTY from Spain… and that the gatherings were during holy hour and then a fellowship, Las Copas.
I found out about Hakuna at the beginning of 2022…
But due to adult life timing, between work and my master’s degree, it was hard to coincide.
In December 2022 I started going more regularly and… What a surprise!
From day one I began to perceive my faith in a more alive way.
Perhaps human words cannot exemplify what is felt.
But without a doubt, it is lived and felt
HKN is a different vibe, honestly I was never in Catholic groups because if I’m honest none caught my attention or motivated me to go, much less did I perceive the liveliness in people like in HKN…
After having experienced this God Stop I want to say that I have truly come to know God from another perspective, as a life companion, without ceasing to be a father and a friend.
Personally, I would describe this God Stop as a vacation with God.
It is an enjoyment and an unreal connection with Him…
It really feels like a dream.
In Hakuna there is life and I don’t say it just to say it, you really see it, you notice it…
And for good reason they say…
That truly without God…
You haven’t seen anything yet
