Acogida y acompañamiento a mayores, enfermos, niños y familias en extrema pobreza en Tondo.
A compartiriado means going out to meet «the least ones», those who live on the margins and suffer some material need (poverty, illness, addiction, imprisonment...). We call it that because we believe we don’t go to give, but to share.
The strength that moves us is not our own: it is a Love received, which kindles the desire for everyone to know they are loved unconditionally for who they are.
At the same time, we go with open hands: those living on the «peripheries» are the flesh of Christ. Accompanying them, we learn to live. Serving them, we understand more radically the Love of Christ for every person.
«At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need; then there will be equality»
Saint Paul, 2 Corinthians 8:14
Your donation covers the cost of materials for workshops, games and activities, and certain medical or material needs of the people we accompany: paint, stationery, hygiene, sports equipment, jewellery-making, medicines, musical instruments, tools... We also grant one-off aid to the local institutions we work with: parishes, missionaries, Salesians.
If the need of a particular initiative or escapada destination is exceeded, the surplus will go to cover the needs of the rest.
